Welcome and thank you for your interest in Jacqueline's School of Dance (JSOD). We are very proud of this award as well as the successes of our annual spring Showcase "Dreams Do Come True", the marks of excellence during our BATD student examinations and the achievements of our Competitive and Elite dance teams that travel and perform across Ontario as well as internationally. JSOD has built a reputation as being a "home away from home" for our dancers.Jacqueline's School of Dance has been the recipient of the prestigious Ajax Pickering News Advertiser Readers Choice Award for the Best Dance Studio five times since its inception 6 years ago. Our dancers have shown their support, as have their families. We recognize that our students are eager to learn dance skills and technique while at the same time remembering that everyone wants to have fun and feel good about themselves. Our Twinkle Toes dancers start as young as three years old while there seems to be no limit to the ages of our adult dancers.JSOD's success is due to the fact that we treat each and every one of our dancers and their families equally and enthusiastically. Classes are organized according to age and experience on both recreational and competitive levels. They are professionals who continually educate themselves with new, and lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre, highland, tap, jazz, acro, pointe, innovative styles and techniques.We offer unsurpassed instruction in ballet, focusing on technique and musicality. Our instructors are fully qualified members of the BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing). Our current location offers four bright, spacious, and climate controlled studios that operate six days a week. JSOD has been an established dance studio in the Durham region since 1984.
